Ab Initio was started by Ulla Eson Bodin, Folke Sandvik and Helga Aiff in 2007. The company began with the intention of manufacturing and marketing Cullus, a sound absorbent, decorative textile for public, technical, and commercial environments.

The company works with the focus of creating knitted panels as well as wall coverings and free hanging sculptured and three dimensional objects.

The material has its origin in a project on the Swedish School of Textiles with its focus on smart textiles.

We sell our products in cooperation with wholesales and distributors in material as well as architectural and interior designers.
